Notable Drops This Month
Winner's Gecko Paint Takeover
Winner Kendama went all-in on gecko paint finishes this March. They dropped Gecko Paint Gloss tamas in Flame, Forest, and Ice at $45.00, then followed with five Bamboo Gecko combinations: Rasta ($43), Purple Haze ($43), Coast ($43), Deep Sea ($43), and Rainbow ($58). The bamboo and gecko paint combination is new territory for Winner, available through Winner Kendama and Kendama Depot.
OZORA Goes Global Through Sweets
Sweets Kendamas added Japanese OZORA kendamas to their lineup. The OZORA Solid Global at $29.99 is the entry point, with the OZORA REShape5 at $59.99 at the top of the line. OZORA Keyaki at $41.99 uses traditional Japanese keyaki wood. Eight models total, all available through Sweets.
Grain Theory's Only Drop
Grain Theory released one kendama in March: the KAMEYO ICHI at $59.99. This Canadian small-batch brand typically prices higher, so $59.99 is on the accessible end for them.
Mugen's Premium Push
Mugen dropped two Infinity series kendamas: the Infinity 8 Ball at $94.99 and Infinity Black at $69.99. These were the highest-priced new releases in March, available through Kendama Depot.
OKendama's REVO Expansion
OKendama released the Dani Mod REVO at $72.45 and launched SPLATTER REVO GLAZE in Maple x Ash combinations. Their B-grade value packs range from $30.45 for 2-packs to $103.95 for 5-packs, making REVO technology more accessible.
Brand Activity Breakdown
Winner Kendama (Chinese Manufacturer)
Winner released 23 gecko paint tamas across three drops. The Gecko Paint Gloss series launched March 10 with Flame, Forest, and Ice at $45.00 each, plus Gold on pre-order. Gecko paint uses a formula inspired by gecko adhesion, which gives the tama a textured, high-grip surface that outperforms standard silk or cushion clears on balance tricks.
The March 17 Bamboo Gecko series was more interesting. Winner combined bamboo ken construction with gecko paint tamas, a combination nobody else is doing. Rasta, Purple Haze, Coast, and Deep Sea each hit $43.00, with Rainbow at $58.00. The Japan Keyaki Indigo Blue at $58.00 and SKC Color Wave at $43.00 rounded out the month on March 29.
OKendama (Romanian Manufacturer)
OKendama had 24 listings in March across several lines. Their RETRO REVO dropped March 8-20 in Black, Dark Blue, Green, Red, and Light Blue, all at $72.45. The SPLATTER REVO GLAZE series on March 21 used Maple x Ash construction in Black/Yellow and Blue/Black. These are made in Latvia from European Maple with OKendama's REVO clear coat.
The B-grade value packs are worth noting. A 5-pack of REVO kendamas for $103.95 works out to about $20.79 each, compared to $72.45 retail for a single. That is a steep discount for cosmetic imperfections. The Zero2Up splice by O!Captain (Maple x Oak, $51.45) was a collab worth tracking.
Da Originz (19 Products)
Massive colorway drop with 13 standard designs at $47.25 each, including Laker Cloud, Hip Hop Japan, and Green Blokk. Five Halfsplit variants at $40.95 and premium Red Tracker at $52.50. Average price: $46.20.
Sweets Kendamas (Minneapolis)
Beyond carrying OZORA, Sweets released The Rolling Pin training accessory ($19.99) and Traditional Toys Capirucho cup-and-ball toy ($19.99).
Prism (Romanian)
Prism had 12 new listings. The PRISM IRIS SHAPE KEN at $38.78 introduces a new ken geometry. Their Original Natty line includes full setups at $65.33 and tama-only at $35.21, both unpainted natural wood. They also released a Wooden Geeker at $31.50, apparel (Alchemy and Prism t-shirts, $35.21-35.70), and the Refraction Tama Stand at $7.00. Two Romanian brands (Prism and OKendama) both having strong months says something about European kendama manufacturing right now.
Occult
Occult dropped 7 themed tamas on March 20. Higgs v2 at $40.00 was the premium option, followed by Trick or Treat ($30.00), All Hallows Eve ($25.00), and Cheers Mod ($25.00). WEBZ, Flower Kimono, and Skull.WAV each hit $22.00. Their ZERO1++ collaboration through Kendama Depot offered Baphomet and Sabbath complete setups at $62.99 in both Sticky and Antiskid finishes.
KROM (Danish Premium)
KROM focused on restocks rather than new releases. SOMA PRO MOD, ADRIAN PRO MOD, and DWESTY PRO MOD returned at $52.50-$63.00. Unity line (Equilibrium, Halcyon) and signature models (YUA SIG MOD, Zoggy N' Moggy) also restocked. All available through kromkendama.com.
Used Gear
Destroy All Tamas had 17 listings in March, all secondhand. Sol Morty Pro Mod setups for $25.99, Evo Evan Pro Mods at $19.99, Random Sticky Setups at $18.99, and Random Tamas for $9.99. They also had used OKendama Neo Tamas ($19.99-28.99), a used KISR Rhino/Hog setup at $38.99, and various kens from Sol, Cereal, and Legaxis. Grant runs the whole operation himself, hand-painting customs and shipping everything since launching DAT in October 2024. If you want to try kendama without spending $50, this is where you go.

March 2026 Trends
• Gecko paint goes mainstream: Winner pushed 23 gecko paint products through multiple retailers. Kendama Depot stocked all of them. This finish is no longer experimental.
• European brands busy: OKendama and Prism (Romania) plus KROM (Denmark) all active. OKendama had 24 products, Prism had 12, KROM restocked 8.
• OZORA through Sweets: Eight traditional Japanese OZORA models now available through Sweets, from $29.99 to $59.99.
• Mugen sets the high end: The Infinity 8 Ball at $94.99 was the most expensive new drop. That is premium Japanese craftsmanship pricing.
• Used gear works: DAT moved 17 listings. A used Sol Morty Pro Mod for $25.99 is hard to beat when retail is $50+.
Price Watch
The OZORA Solid Global at $29.99 establishes a new traditional entry point. At the other end, Mugen's Infinity 8 Ball at $94.99 pushes premium pricing. Winner's gecko paint tamas at $43-58 hit the sweet spot for specialty finishes.
DAT's used market provides the best value: Random Tamas at $9.99 and complete setups under $26. For new players wanting to try kendama without spending $50, used gear through DAT is the move.
OKendama's B-grade value packs (2-pack for $30.45) offer REVO technology at reduced cost. This pricing strategy makes premium technology accessible to budget-conscious players.
Kendama Restocks March 2026
KROM restocked their entire pro model line: SOMA PRO MOD ($63), ADRIAN PRO MOD ($63), and DWESTY PRO MOD Maple ($52.50). Their Unity series (Equilibrium, Halcyon at $52.50) and signature models returned to stock.
Grain Theory's KAMEYO ICHI was their only March drop at $59.99.
Occult released themed tamas through multiple channels: direct sales of Higgs v2 ($40) and Trick or Treat ($30), plus ZERO1++ collaborations through Kendama Depot (Baphomet and Sabbath setups at $62.99).
Looking Ahead
Winner has Gold Gloss gecko tamas on pre-order, so expect more gecko paint in April. OZORA through Sweets at $29.99 undercuts most entry-level options by $10-15.
